ASHTON D300SEQ ALL SOLID GUITAR - tested by Australian Musician

ASHTON AB600 BASS GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....The Ashton AB600 is a good choice on many levels. If you'e planning on staring a career as a bass player and you're after an affordable option that, nonetheless, sounds great and wont make you cringe every time you play a note, this baby is a great choice...."

ASHTON 'THE FIDELITY' ELECTRIC GUITAR - tested by Guitarist Australia Magazine
"....This guitar, The Ashton Fidelity, is a perfect example of this value-for-meny approach. It's basically a Telecaster-style guitar with a twist. The electronics and general facilities are pure Tele but the body is a variation of the theme If you had to find the middle ground between a Tele, a LP and a Music Man axis, this is probably the way it would look...."

ASHTON D39 ACOUSTIC GUITAR - tested by Australian Musician Magazine
"....The look of this instrument is quite unique, and it's a welcome change from a market which inherently lacks visual variety when compared to its electric brethren. The creamy coloured top is adorned with a lovely triple-binding, cool tortoise-shell scratch plate and a lovely wooden inlay rosette that would look right at home in a cheesy spaghetti-western flick...."

ASHTON METRONOME & TUNERS - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....It should come as no surprise that the new tuners and metronomes in the Ashton range do what they do extremely well and at an extremely sensible price. The fact that they also bring something new to the table, contributing to the evolution of the affordable tuner, metronome or combination of the two is something to be commended...."

ASHTON SL29CEQ ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....Playing this guitar acoustically, two things are apparent. The first is that it is a very decent little instrument to play, with a comfortable neck and nice action. though it is almost as deep as a conventional acoustic, the body is quite small and this positions the instrument very well, with the string travel situated perfectly when seated. The second observation is that the acoustic tone is not bad at all...."

Ashton J59SCEQ JUMBO SOLID TOP GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....First thing you will notice about this instrument is how gorgeous it is. A Sitka spruce top and flame Maple back and sides in a natural blonde finish make it a real looker. Mini-jumbos have a large lower bout, usually measuring about 16" at the widest point across the body behind the bridge, and it is a very attractive, rounded body shape. The build quality is uniformly quite good and the styling is not overdone, though this is definitely a guitar that wants to be noticed...."

ASHTON TMF522 MAPLE DRUM KIT - tested by Australian Musician Magazine
"....This kit is essentially ready to assemble and play. The drums undeniably possess sustain and projection for which maple drums are known. Further, the slightly unusual drum sizes make them flexible enough to be played in rock, funk and jazz styles. Solid in construction, with great visual appeal, and a low retail price, the Ashton Fusion Drumkit may just undercut the semi-pro drumkit market. Ouch!...."

ASHTON D75SCEQ PREMIUM ACOUSTIC GUITAR - tested by Guitarist Australia Magazine
"....The Ashton D75SCEQ is a great example of high quality at an affordable price. The D75SCEQ features a natural wood top and double braced body with binding on both sides. Overall the visual characteristics of this guitar is challenging guitars in much higher price brackets. Having said that, the real surprise came when we played it. At this price it's hard to find an acoustic guitar that gives the natural tone that we love, but the Ashton delivered on all fronts...."

ASHTON AWM200 WIRELESS MICROPHONE SYSTEM - tested by Guitarist Australia Magazine
"....The Tone was rich and strong, with none of the thinness one associates with cheaper mics. The presence really impressed us, there was an immediacy about the sound that cut through the mix without any effort - usually, with lower-end mics, this is due to shrillness in the reproduction but this was not an issue with the AWM series. The tone was very accurate and the delivery clean and without the usual noisy clutter and hiss...."

ASHTON DUALLER SLIM LINE ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....With quite a flat neck profile, at first it seems a little small, and indeed the body is quite tiny. The rosewood fingerboard is veryattractive and the offset fret markers a nice touch - all in all, it is an excellently realised instrument, the finishing is unmatched for the price range or anywhere near it, and the company has once again proven that serious local design efforts prior to calling in the offshore manufacturers will result in a superior product every time...."

ASHTON AB800 BASS GUITAR - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....The Ashton AB800 bass guitar is no exception, I wasn't expecting this instrument to feel and sound as good as it did...I am a realist and definitely wasn't expecting quality the equivalent to a bass that retails for $2000 upwards, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the AB800 had some very amazing qualities to it...and really....if this was to be your first bass guitar then you really can't go past it...."

ASHTON BV300H 300W ALL VALVE BASS HEAD - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....At the recommended retail price that this comes at, and with its all valve design, this would have to be one of the best pieces of good valve gear. It's nice to see a brand that is known for its value entry-level and prosumer products extend its philosophy to higher end gear such as this. Considering the components, and the overall build quality this unit is a real bargain...."

Ashton JOEYCOUSTIC 3/4-SIZE TRAVEL GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....Giving this guitar a strum, the small body does an impressive job at projecting a full tone that belies its size. When I got to play it, I quickly reassessed its potential and realised it is an excellent traveller guitar for more experienced guitarists, in addition to being a stellar student guitar for beginners...."

ASHTON OM35SEQ ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....With a solid Spruce top, it has probably sacrified less volume than you might expect - its projection is good and acoustically it held its own with both dreadnoughts and a jumbo. The general build standard is exceptional for such an affordable guitar...."

ASHTON JOEYSOLD SOLID TOP TRAVEL GUITAR - tested by Australian Guitar Magazine
"....With a solid top of Engelmann Spruce, the JoeySolid is well equipped to deliver on the promise of the JoeyCoustic straight off the drawing board. Condering its tiny body and laminated soundboard, the most surprising thning about the JoeyCoustic was its breadth of tone, with a much fuller voice than most would have imagined. If you didn't get a chance to hear the JoeyCoustic, you are going to be even more amazed than the rest of us when you hear a joeySolid for the first time...."

ASHTON MXL8 8 CHANNEL DESK MIXER - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....These little mixers have become quite popular over the past few years and I remember using one for a number of years in my home studio, and still use it as my on-stage mixer for all my keyboards and samplers, as it really simplifies things for both myself and the engineer...."

ASHTON BA400 BASS AMPLIFIER HEAD - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....This issue we road-test Ashton's BA400 bass amp head. Like the 100W VP100H tube guitar head that has created so much favourable attention for Ashton, the BA400 is another model that must be regarded as semi-professional...."

Ashton AB900 BASS GUITAR - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....If someone were to ask me "Man I want to buy my first bass but I've only got around 400 bucks, what can I get that looks cool, sounds good but I can afford?" I would send them down to try out an Ashton bass. Honestly they are the perfect entry-level instruments, they possess so many great points and reasons to buy them that you would be silly, silly, silly not to give them a look in...."

Ashton AEA30 30W ACOUSTIC AMPLIFIER - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....Tired of constantly fighting to hear your sound through the feedbacks. Ashton has the answer - the AEA30 acoustic amplifier. The acoustic amplifier product market is not exactly flooded, so Ashton has taken the bull by the horns, and given us an amplifier without the high price tag...."

Ashton EXPLORER150 PORTABLE PA SYSTEM - tested by MixDown Magazine
"....Portability and mobility seem to be the deciding factors in vocal PA systems these days and Ashton's version, the Traveller 150 is no exception. If you are a solo performer or a small band, the Traveller 150 could provide you with a very cost effective and simple means to get your voice heard...."

ASHTON D55SCEQ ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR - tested by Guitarist Australia Magazine
"....We were surprised how nice the rosewood board looked, unusually rich for this price range, and the timber dots are a nice touch. At one end, we found a nicely shaped heel, with a contrasting cap. At the other end we found a  headstock with binding loaded with machine heads that have a Groverstyle button, and feel positive and pretty smooth. Is this really only $450 – truly?...."
